| My local - Castle Inn, Bolsterstone |
| A
quiet village pub, The Castle is not only popular with the locals, but
with walkers & visitors to the area.
Since taking over the tenancy in September 2004, Andrew & Michelle Grant have managed to maintain three real ales, with a mild once a month. Currently the brews on offer are Mitchell & Butler Dark Mild, Stones & Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. The pub, which had previously been a managed house for several years, has a long history with the world renowned Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, & proudly displays the trophies to prove it. Recently re-decorated, a full menu is on offer, with many dishes cooked from scratch on the premises. In addition, there is live entertainment every wednesday evening. Previously assistant manager at the Fat Cat between ’83 & ’86 Andrew recognises the importance of quality ales & food hand in hand, at affordable prices. |
